Overview

Health and Physical Education teaches our students that good health and safety principles can lead to a lifetime of healthy practices, resulting in more productive, active, and successful lives.

Curriculum

Pre-K – 2nd

In Fitness Class students learn simple skills and basic understanding of body control.
  • Basics of Throwing and Catching
  • Basics of Locomotion
  • Basic Kicking
  • Basic Dribbling
  • Basic uses of Scoopers, Pickleball Rackets, and Badminton Rackets

3rd – 5th

In Fitness Class students learn the basics of team and individual sports. Students practice the skills they have learn in previous grades.
  • Throwing and Catching in Team Games
  • Locomotion in Class Games
  • Basics of Soccer, Basketball, Hockey, Handball, Kickball, Tag Games, Throwing Games, Football, & Volleyball

6th – 8th

In Fitness Class students use skills they have learned to play team sports. Students learn how to implement strategy in team sports.
